Team Balance Pins

Three days before Balance held their annual holiday party, I convinced my dad and brother to pull a couple of late nights with me to surprise the team with some special gifts. The idea came to me six months before the party... My brother burned the magnetic stainless steel Balance logo on an EDM and we turned the aluminum jars on a bridgeport. Thanks Guys!

A collage to remember today.

'Main Street - 01.20.2009'

'The Chagrin Falls - 01.20.2009'

Armed with the new studio camera on beautiful Ohio winter morning, Mike set out to capture the crisp air on this historic day. The first panorama was taken standing on Main Street just outside the Balance Product Development studio and the second view can be appreciated just down the street at the Chagrin falls.

Gotta love digital SLR cameras.

Tis the season.

Inspired by a Crunchgear.com article on etching a design on a Moleskine notebook Balance Product Development pressed their mark into a Moleskine journal cover as a gift for the Holidays. With time fleeting, they created their own die to press two journals at a time in a shop vise and adhered seasonal belly bands to get them ready for delivery.

Hopefully the beloved journal will capture inspired ideas.

Little instruments for little men...

This tenor ukulele is made almost entirely of donated resawn reclaimed mahogany deck material and upon completion is destined to be played by a good friend's 4 year old son back in Boston. Another similar ukulele is also in process to be gifted to Mike's 4 year old nephew. Hopefully these instruments will inspire the little men to create. To view progress visit his thread on Ukulele Cosmos Forum.
